Slave to assistant: "I think I'm going to have a cup of coffee and go to bed."
Assistant to slave: "If we just got this paint on the walls, tomorrow we could do the floors ... and then move the girls back in."
Slave to assistant: "I'll just stay up all night. You go to bed."
Assistant with some pangs of guilt: "I'll cut in the corners for you."
It isn't even midnight yet!!
Now the assistant is going to work on payroll taxes after putting in a 12 hour work day at the hospital.
At least for 5 minutes. (smiles)
I looked and these pictures are turning out nasty. Must fiddle with the camera settings someday soon. Maybe before Bedroom #2.

Its 12:15 and the slave and his beloved assistant are still hard at work; mean-whilst the son of slave and assistant gets up to offer a cup of coffee for the both of them and one for himself as he contimplates the truly blissfulness(i think i created a word) of the 10 hour work day he has tomorrow ..(he has 14-15 hour ones throughout the rest of the week) ...ah!

I wish I had a digital camera so I could post the picturs of work at our house. It is so fun to see others doing the exact same thing we are doing.
My kitchen has been painted. So far, not many people have liked the color. I think Shawn and I see what it is going to be when we look at it and not what it is. Whereas others who see it, see it for what it is now and don't have the other picture. Shawn and Steve put down the durarock (?) on the floor and half or more then half the tile is put in. The remainder will be put in today and then half the grout will be put in with the last being done tomorrow. Then to seal it and leave down for a few days to let it dry without anyone walking on it.
The living room has almost all been painted. When the kitchen moves back into the kitchen, the remainder can be done, then to do the flooring in there. The hallway has been painted. The wood needs to be put up around the hallway and the living room, but that really won't take long. The progress in the house is amazing.
To everyone who has their projects going, hang in there.

Anita, I was just looking back when I remembered that you said you were going to show a picture of your floor. I could not find a picture. Did you put one on here some where and I did not go back for enough or what? tats all for now.

was thinking i should sweep the floor first. when i sweep the floor, i forget the picture. then again ... there is a massage table in the middle of the living room floor, boxes of pitch it stuff for people on the kitchen table, bags for goodwill on the floor ... perhaps i should hurry up and take that picture after all!! so that was the long answer. the short one is ... no. but i will!
by the way. home depot will quit carrying this stuff & it will be special order only. we have bought out all the stores around here. i know where there is enough to finish my floor, but just a heads up.
