B is laughing instead of working

I think I am going to get kicked out of the library! I am at work - taking a supper break in the medical library - so I can catch up on the blog. Oh my goodness! I can't stop laughing. The narrow surgery posts just put me over the edge! Thank you for the great stress release!

Just a quick update on life at our house...
Wayne was in Canada all of last week. He was scheduled to come home Friday evening, but because of weather, his flight was cancelled. He made it back Saturday afternoon. He told the folks he was working with that they must not know about global warming. It was -30C with wind blowing around the 15 inches of snow they received the first day he was there.

We finally got a Christmas picture taken this morning. I came close to giving up on the idea as coordinating schedules with people in Alex, Canada, school, and work just wasn't happening. One last ditch effort worked. I asked everyone - even the big kids - if they would rise and shine and put smiles on at 8am this morning. They did it!!! Made my day. We were a bit late for Sunday School program practice, but were out of the house about 9am and the girls made it to work on time. Now if I can find a little time, I would like to get the house to look a bit like Christmas...

I do love this time of year, despite the tight schedules. Next year I will make another promise to have shopping done before Thanksgiving. If I make the promise often enough, maybe I will get it to happen once. I want to spend moments taking deep breaths while listening to Christmas music in a home filled with the smells of Christmas baking. Maybe I will take the month of December off next year so I can hit every program and party... It is ok to dream, right? Acutally, even with craziness of activities, the true meaning of Christmas shines as it immersed throughout the activities of December. For that I am thankful.

Time to get back to work. Thanks again for the delightful entries!

oh. my. gosh. heart do be still. it is becky! life is much less stressful when we laugh once in a while.

job for you, #2: check blog (this is keeping family connected!!!) and comment at least two times per week.

i imagine that you will probably add several more minutes to your life (that stressful one that is driving us crazy this time of year!) if you have a good belly chuckle two times per week.

job for the rest of you .. including everyone who is absent from posting: must post things for #2 to chuckle at! (still waiting on that narrow surgery paper over here)
