Thanksgiving in AZ

We had a wonderful day today at Marjanen's! We didn't get home until about 10:30 tonight!! There was plenty of yummy food, the kids played awesome together all day, and the weather was perfect....lots to be thankful for!:) We ate around 12:30 or so on tables on the back patio, with linen napkins, china, the works! It was wonderful! Of course neither me nor anita took any pictures during lunch!:( I took one of Alyx setting the table, but it came out kind of dark. After eating we looked at the ads in the newspaper, visited, ate pie and visited some more. Jari took the girls for a 'train ride' around and around the backyard, and they loved it! Late in the afternoon we played a few games of settlers, then ended the evening with singing around the piano. We had a great time....Thank you Jari and Anita, and hope everyone in MN had a great thanksgiving! Here are a 'few' pictures, and I'm sure Anita will post some more:)

So Debbie tells me that her mom (becky) REALLY likes her camera, and takes SO many pictures that she can hardly keep up with her....well, let's see some of those pictures!!!! I am SURE that there is SOMEONE in the Randall house that knows how to put pictures on the blog!!!! I will be patiently waiting:)
How was Thanksgiving for you folks on the Range? Were you all together? Who all ended up going to Randall's besides Ma and pa?

We went to Randalls and were joined
by Gary, Tristan and Jen. Becky is
a better mom than I ever was as she
has their children do various parts
of the meal. Meal was delicious.

In the evening we went to the church for the Thanksgiving program. It was very well done.
Should have brought in our camcorder. Becky was going to give us some leftovers but had
taken our ice chest into car so
it didn't get done. Stopped after
the program for some leftovers,
picked up our Friday's lunch and got home at 12:30 a.m. By then
very tired but a very enjoyable
day. dk

Debbie....so you don't know what pictures to post? Here's your assignment: Tomorrow (monday) Post a picture of something to do with thanksgiving. Tuesday: post something to do with MN snow (a winter picture, maybe of some kids in the snow). Wednesday: post a picture of something to do with christmas this year. Thursday, post a picture of you, and Friday post a picture of your mom or dad! No excuses now! Don't think of posting tons of pictures, and get overwhelmed....just do one picture at a time. I can't wait to see the ones you post!

Isn't that odd. It printed it
twice. I was a little impatient
'cuz nothing was happening and
hit "login and publish" again and
like magic it's on twice! Must learn to be more patient! dk

Wednesday night was Tristan's birthday party. It was cute, he got to make a mess of his cake.

Thanksgiving for us was at Julia's. I made the ham (they don't like turkey) and potatoes. It worked out perfect to haul it over there, giving the ham time to cool before cutting. The potatoes got hauled over in the water, dumped it out and mashed it. Perfect. Mauri brought the other food. There wasn't too many of us over there.

Friday, Shawn and I got up and went shopping. We got some good deals. I got 50% off a "cool daddy" fryer, so decided to make some of Isa's doughnuts. Did some work outside fixing our electric fence and getting ready for our cattle that would be coming sometime over the weekend.

Saturday - cleaned the house, baked etc.

Sunday - baked some more and we got 6 calfs last night. They are old enough where we don't have to give them milk replacer, but still small enough to have them in a penned in area. Tonight, we get 3 more and hopefully that's it for a while. The ones we get tonight, are big enough also.

Today, it's back to work.

It was a lovely Thanksgiving and was so nice to have 4 days off in a row and only a medium size list of projects that had to get done. Shawn was hauling gravel on Saturday and is now done for this year. He's hauled a lot of gravel to our house. We also got our tractor home and we are getting very prepared for winter.

I love the pictures from Arizona.
Anita, your flowers on the back wall are beautiful. It is so funny to look at pictures from down there with t-shirts and eating outside. I thought we had it really warm here, but no t-shirts or eating outside for us.
