Jenny

Hope everyone had a great Easter! The girls looked for baskets when they woke up, we went to church, then to my mom and dads for a tasty ham dinner (lunch)! The weather here was awesome...warm, but not too bad:) We had a little easter egg hunt for the kids in the backyard, then came home around 5:00. The kids ate candy like crazy all day, and were on such a sugar high!! But that's okay....it's only one day a year:) They had fun, and surprisingly enough, they were all sleeping by 9:00! That's pretty good for our house! One thing I didn't do, which I can't believe, is take a picture of my girls in their easter dresses! And Toni even let me curl her hair for church! I will have to get them dressed up again....maybe tomorrow, and take a picture!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Our Easter was fabulous. We planned to go to Julia's for the day. I of course got sick on Friday and was in bed with a headcold, etc. Then Shawn got the stomach flu and well you can guess what he was doing all weekend. We called Julia and told her we most likely wouldn't make it on Sunday so she and Randy went to Big Lake. Shawn and I were home feeling sorry for ourselves that we were sick and miserable and we didn't have any Easter candy in our house (we couldn't eat it anyway). But after our joint trip to the doctor on Monday, we are doing well and are hoping to have a wonderful weekend this weekend. We did get 75 little chicks on Tuesday. They are so cute now and when they aren't so cute, they taste so good. I hope everyone else was able to enjoy Easter. Heather

That's a bummer you a were sick!! At least you were sick together:)
Did you go and buy clearance easter candy on Monday?
It's always better anyway when it's half price!
fun fact: 80% of all people who eat the big chocolate easter bunnies, eat the ears first:)

Hey, Heather... If you still have unclaimed chickens, I would be interested. After you have butchered them of course :-) Let me know how many, how much, etc.

It was nice to see Julia Sunday. She didn't come over, but talked to her at church. She was busy talking to Daniel who has just arrived from Ecuador. He and Darlene are getting married in a couple weeks.

We had a much nicer easter than Heather & Shawn. Sarah came and woke me up with, "I FOUND MY EASTER BASKET!!! ...AND THE EASTER BUNNY DIDN'T EVEN HIDE IT HARD!!!" After the rest of the baskets were found and we added a bit of solid to the jelly beans for breakfast, we went to church. Eugene & Gail, Sandra, Gail's sister, and Mother & Isa joined us for dinner after church. While waiting for dinner, the little kids searched for eggs outside while the big kids sang w/ violin and piano. After a nice day of visiting, we went back for evening services. We are very lucky to have Mother & Isa close enough to get them for baptism one day and Easter the next! ...Also thankful they are healthy enough and willing to do that kind of driving!
