life in AZ

I am finally able to upload picture to this blog....I don't know what was going on before!  They are not in order, but oh well...
We are finally starting to feel like life is getting back to "normal" around here again!  After three different hospital stays with Taryn in the last month and a half, we are glad that she is finally well!!  It was not easy juggling between home and the hospital.
It has rained so much here this winter and now the desert is so green and beautiful!!  Frans' sinuses don't like it tho!  We have started hiking a few times a week, and the girls like it too!  I'm just bummed that we didn't start this a long time ago....now it is going to start getting really hot, and that's going to be miserable hiking in the heat!
Went to the Zoo yesterday for the grandma orangutan's 50th birthday (Duchess)  They are my favorite zoo animal!  Duchess is the one on the right in the picture.  We had the perfect weather for the zoo too....about 75 and windy.
In other news, Frans went to PV college and took some placement tests on Friday.  Now he's just got to meet with somebody and find out what classes he should be taking!  Hoping to start with summer classes....exciting!
anyways, I'm rambling...hope everyone is doing good!

Thanks for posting. We are happy
things are looking up. She sure
looks good in the pictures. Keep
us posted on Frans' classes that he
has to take.

We had a speaker installed in
Brainerd this morning. Travis
Ruonavaara. I think I cried as much as Reino was installed!

Jen came yesterday and Randalls
with Steven on down and Ellen came
today. Nice to have family stop in
and especially for this festive day. dk

yeah, Taryn does look good doesn't she? Frans said that the grade on his paper after he took the math test was not an 'A', not a 'B' etc...but an "U R STUPID". :) We will keep you informed!
Travis Ruonavaara....isn't he young?? I think he is a few years younger than me even! wow.

Awesome to see a picture of a smiling and healthy Taryn! The girls are all just adorable!

Frans, I can relate to your feeling after taking the math test. I have been getting that same feeling after several tests this semester. ...I guess it is why we are learning eh? If we knew it all, we wouldn't have to be there! I am excited about you looking into school. Keep us posted.

By the way, Travis is 28. Was nice to be in Brainerd yesterday. It has been awhile since we have seen our traveling parents :)

Let's see if my memory is right or not ... about 34 years old.

and I would guess older than that. I would guess that he would have been about 36 - 37.
