Happy 4th of July!!

Hope everyone had a fun day today! We did. We went to my mom and dad's for a pool party and bbq. Then from there we went to watch fireworks in the evening. The day started out to be a real scorcher, it was sooo hot! Then around 6pm the storm rolled in, and it really cooled off. There was actually a severe weather warning, and they were urging everyone to get indoors, as winds were up to 60 mph! We drove away from the storm tho, to the west side of the valley to watch fireworks, and it was still windy over there, but not so nasty. And the temp dropped to the low 90's, we didn't even break a sweat watching fireworks, it was so nice outside! Quite a bit better than last years 114!

Here are a few pics from the day...Will be waiting to see pics from everyone else's day!

We spent the "4th" at the Summer
Services at the Cokato-Dassel H.S.
Lots of people, spacious place much
larger than when they were held here last time, ? years ago. Don't
know what estimate of people tho'
Clara heard between 4-5,000. 1,814
for communion but with 16 serving it went surprisingly fast. We
stayed at Jen's apt., blew up our
air mattress. She fixed food so we
didn't have to eat every meal at the service site. A few more details in the Newsletter. Am hoping someone will post pictures,
a few anyway.

I forgot my camera at home, so hope to post pictures tomorrow. We spent the evening of the 3rd at fireworks in Eveleth. Gary, Tristan, and Randy joined us. The fireworks ended early as, once again, the area started on fire where they were shooting them off. On the 4th ~ I brought Tristan to the parade in Eveleth. Got home, did some chores, then headed to services in Cokato. Friday night, Shawn, Jen, Sandra, and I went to fireworks in Annandale and then back to Tom and Steph's. We got home last night about 9:30.

Hope to remember my camera tomorrow.
