Well, the weather forecast wasn't wrong this time 2 and 1/2 ft of snow is about what we got, and to think it doesn't want to stop. (thats of this morning) It was suposed to die down at 5 this evening but its now 20 to 6 and its still coming down very hard. I think that we have 3 or close to 3 ft by now. i haven't been out there since after lunch but i am sure theres a lot out there now. here are some pictures to give you a feel for what its like in Rogers today:) Duchess was having a hard time walking so me and Denise made a trail for her to walk down.

holy moly....that is some serious snow!! Makes me glad I am where I'm at:) About 70-75 today, with a slight breeze...gorgeous:) Although, in about another month and a half or so, I'll be feeling envious of you all there!
It was an exhausting day, and I need to hit the sheets..

Wow! Makes me wonder if I remember how to hold and use a snow shovel! Great pics.

oh thx, makes me miss the summer even more. well i'm glad that we have some winter and some summer, that way we get both! sounds like its nice down there. 70 degrees wow, i was looking at our pool thinking OH, when do we get to go swimming in there? i can't wait for summer. have a good day. -debbie
I love the pictures Debbie! We didn't get that kind of snow here. The benefits of winter: ice fishing, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, ice skating, dog sledding, etc. So just remember that the pool will be used some day, but lets not hurry away the snow =) Winter is a beautiful season and provides so many things to do!!!
I'm going to have to find a way to post picturs of fun winter activities that will have even Jenny wanting to move to MN to enjoy the winter =)

good, maybe i will help my mom post pictures too, we built a very long tunnel that we can crawl through, winter is fun times, just gets tiring. Last sunday we went snowmobiling, and thats something you can't ever do in AZ :) have a good day everyone -debbie
Excuse me debbie...but I do believe you can snowmobile in Arizona...just not right outside your front door! You just may have to drive a little to get there! :)

You can't beat the kind of weather depicted in those photos! I love it! Thursday, the day we got most of it, was so beautiful outside it was hard to come in. The only bummer is this ol' lady isn't strong enough to shovel the entire driveway three times in one day. Wow, did I feel it the next day! Would have been a great time to be studying the anatomy of back and neck muscles; I could identify every one of them. One week later, while grocery shopping early in the morning, I was reminded that I shouln't shovel that much heavy snow. My back was spasming to the point I couldn't move for a bit. Oh well, it was worth being outside in the snow. Just around the corner we will see tulips poking through bits of snow. Then before long, it will be hot again. I'll take the snow :-)

This past weekend, I tried cross country skiing for the 1st time. Liz and I went 1.4 miles on Saturday then 5 miles on Sunday. What a workout. My abs, legs, arms, well every muscle still feels it. I'm wanting to go again real soon.
Last night, Shawn and I went ice fishing and got our limit of crappies. They taste so good. Fish is always so much better out of a cold lake; don't get me wrong, I love it in the summer too, but it is so good in the winter. I'm all for the winter continuing; forget the heat, this is great!!

they are almost a tie for me, i love the summer, but i like the winter a lot too, Jenny, we don't have to drive 3 hrs or all day to go snowmobiling OR just to find snow just look to my right and i see 2 ft of it :) have a good day all. -debbie
