Grammar question

An 's at the end of Kuoppala would denote ownership, right? So do the Kuoppalas own this blogspot? Is it theirs and should there be an 's at the end or should it be without an appostrophe? I removed it because I thought it didn't belong there, but our last name does not end that way. Help!

To the photographer: if you have a photo without the lizard, send it along or change the picture. Otherwise, I could add all kinds of interesting ones ... change them once in a while and you'll never know what age you are that day until you pop onto the blog.

Sorry, Mom, I'm going to make your head spin and wonder if the computer is being attacked from Timbuktu. It will never be your computer ... it will be mine!

Another question: why on earth are these green words showing up underscored? Does anyone know if there is something we need to block on this blog to make that stop happening? Driving me a wee bit crazy it is!

the 's has more then one meaning to it...

it can show ownership: Mom's phone...meaning the phone belongs to mom.

it can be used for shortening:
it is = it's or Mom's coming = mom is coming

it can also be used to show more than one person:

the Kuoppalas are coming.

does this make any sense? i think there may be more ways to use it but i remember those for sure -debbie

"Kuoppala's" means the blog owns to the Kuoppalas. "Kuoppalas" means the blog has more than one Kuoppala. #9
