Where is everybody?

Have I chased you away? I am finally starting to check the blog more often and am finding very little activity. How is everyone? Let's hope summer is keeping you outside and away from the computer.

At suppertime, we try to do "Brag & Bummer." One person starts by sharing something from their day. If it is a positive thing for them, they call it a brag; if it isn't so great, they call it a bummer. After sharing, they pick someone to go next. We continue until everyone has had a chance to share.

How about a Kuoppala round of Brag & Bummer about the summer to this point? I will start with one of each.

Ok, I can't limit it to one brag. Eric and Rosie's engagement and upcoming wedding is a brag for me. So is our trip to Toronto for Summer Services and the company we have had. I have to add the weather to my brag list. ....My bummer is that my job is at a low point (hopefully the lowest it will get). I am finding it difficult to go to work and difficult to keep a smile on my face.

Your next!

no becky, you certainly haven't scared us away from the computer...I think we are still in just a little bit of shock over all these new blog posts, that we are still trying to recover! j/k!

brag : my trip to MN was so much fun for the weddings.

bummer: our van broke down! (was awfully glad to get a new car, just not glad to get the new payments!)

current bummer: woke up to (LOUD) thunder and lighting at around 4 this morning...I don't like that really loud cracking thunder at night time, even more so when frans isn't home! Well I couldn't sleep after that for a few hours. I heard a dripping sound the whole time I was awake, figured it was rain....well, too bad I didn't use the back bathroom when I got up, would have noticed that the dripping was not rain, but the tubing from our toilet to wall was leaking! At a pretty steady pace!! And of course we all slept till about 10, so when I finally noticed it, it had been going for about 5 hours!!!! I went straight to the neihbors, and he is currently at Ace hardware for me buying me a new one! I have water all over the place...even into the front bathroom which is just on the oppisite side!!! Argh!! Why do these things always happen when the hubby isn't home? At least my neighbor is as wonderful as he is! Maybe I will bring them both some lunch today:)

anyways, some brags to look foreward to this summer:
mothers and daughters camp is beginning of august, it will be the first time we have attended!
Kierstyn starts Kindergarten.
Going to Seattle for Eric's wedding.
And can't think of any more right now, but lets play this again...maybe weekly:)

Brag: my hubby was home today for about 10 hours

Bummer: he slept for about 7 of it and then left again for a few days of work out of town.

Brag: I penciled in our MN trip .. all subject to change. :) We will stop in CO first and stay with Fred.

Bummer: I have been thinking I am YOUNG and staying up way too late .. way too often.

Brag: Last night's late nite was spent visiting Joni and Ronda after the wedding .. Alyx sent me a text at midnight and said it was past my curfew. I didn't roll in until after 2 sometime. I intend to do more of that this week if I can!!

Bigger Brag: I no longer can get grounded for being out past my kids' curfew for me. Sweet!!

Brag: Checking on plane tickets to Washington. It will be my first time in that direction for me!

Brag: Getting every weekend off! If I decide to work a Saturday I can, my boss doesn't object:), but haven't worked a Sunday since the end of April!

Brag: I am learning tonz of new things! Before this summer, I had never had the chance to learn how to play with the plasma cutter!

Brag: I have made more trips to the Range then at any other time I lived away from there! And I have been having fun with participating with the Horizon's project and have loved hearing all about the progress they are making with it!

Brag: This is the first summer that I can remember that I feel really good! My pressure is high again, so am starting my meds up, but. . . All in all, I feel really good!

Bummer: Not keeping in touch with many of you! I promise I'll change that!

Thanks for suggesting this, Becky!

Love you all,
~jen~
