More about our month of September:
Jen joined the Kaleva Ladies!!! Here's a group photo
Shawn, Heidi, and I went to Parent's Camp at Hascib. Shawn's first time to Hascib. It was a great weekend. Heid's first trip to Michigan.
Shawn and Heidi.....
It was a chilly and rainy weekend. So, the weiners were roasted inside Saturday night :)

Shawn heard about a guy selling sheep and goats. He went to pick them up and came home with this too.... :)
I've always wanted a llama. Will have to see how long this Llama stays around. It hasn't taken to me yet, but he just got it last night, so hoping it will chill out and be a bit more relaxed. They are so ugly, they are kind of cute :)

I would love to go to a parents camp! maybe some year we will make it to one! we have couples camp here every year....I wish they would alternate: do couples camp one year, and parents camp the next year. cute llama!

While at the state fair we sat in on a llama judging. They can get
them to do lots of things. But then a few were stubborn. dk
Hmmm ... Heidi must have learned that lllaaammmmaaa thing already! Impressive! Really, tho', what do you do with the llama? Sure is cute.
I'm with Jenny, I'd love to be able to go to parent's camp sometime. Maybe we'll make it after the kids are grown and gone. Then I can learn everything I should have known during THIS time of my life!

How about planning a trip and attending Parent's Camp in Michigan next year? :)
The llama is supposed to keep coyotes and other predators away from sheep and goats. Will see how it works. Hopefully it doesn't cause problems when the lambs, calfs, and kids arrive or the llama will have to go!
It's still a bit jumpy, but will now let me pet it's nose :)

Jen's bus driver to speech classes
in Virginia, Sue Lampi, age 59,
passed away from complications of
Alzheimer's and cacer on Friday, 10-2 at the Cornerstone Villa in
Buhl. She donated her body to
Alzheimer's and cancer research. dk
Other than being Jen's bus driver, who is Sue Lampi? Who are her kids? Doesn't she have a daughter that is about Charlie's age? Spacing on her first name. Maybe Sue was a driver for quite awhile, right? Just not our route?
Some diseases are just plain awful.
H: Fun to see the pictures :). I join in your invitation for A and all interested to join next year in a trip for Parent's camp. Next year, I believe it will be at Stony with Couples camp at Hasscib (they typically alternate). Regardless, it would be great to have several go together! Welcome!
For those that know Ilene Herrala, she isn't doing too well. She was having some heart issues for the past couple weeks, and now has suffered a stroke. She is in the hospital. Remember her and her family in your prayers.

Sue Lampi married Dick Lampi 1-13-68. She is survived by her husband, daughter Karen Lampi of
Eden Prairie, son, Dale Lampi of
Cherry. Granddaughters Lindsey and
Leah Lampi of Cherry, sister Janice
(Marvin) Newberg. Other siblings
but no one we know. Lampi's had a
booth at the Land of the Loon. The
soap dispensers with horses or out
houses are ones they made. They also bought all the old glass pop
bottles that were in Grandma's house. dk
By the way Jen, congrats on joining the Kaleva Ladies :).

Dale Lampi is the owner of Lampi Signs on Hwy 37.
