Our crazy household...

Last night, Shawn comes in complaining of a stomach ache. (He commented that it was the noodles I made for dinner) The problem is that it wouldn't go away and went up into his back. He may complain about every ailment, but was absolutely miserable. I told him to get ready he was going to the hospital. The diagnosis: he is passing a kindey stone! Was sent home with pain meds and the hope that he passes it on his own!

He is waiting for road restrictions to be off before starting some bigger jobs. As the doctor said, if you are going to pass a stone, this is the best time to do it. She doesn't want him working until it passes. I don't want him doing anything until it passes. Shawn is his own boss and we'll see what he does today :)

Had a good chuckle at your hubby's expense last night. Had to share our little "you've experienced childbirth when you've passed a kidney stone" thing. The poor guy last night was having his appendix out. He also has gallstones and kidney stones. He held up five fingers after I finished my Shawn story. I didn't get it at first. The man has passed 5 of them!! Poor guy. Good luck to Shawn. Maybe it'll pass uneventfully and he'll be back to work soon!

Update on Shawn. The stone isn't 4mm like they had thought. It is 7. Therefore, he can't pass it on his own. The quickest they could get him in is on Monday and in Duluth. They couldn't get him in anywhere else. Hopefully it can be easily resolved so he can get his sunny disposition back the same time our daughter gets her sunny personality back post shots. Then Mom can lose her sunny disposition :)

Another update on Shawn:
He was in the hospital on Friday and Saturday. He had to have the stone removed and stint put in. Home now and on the mend!
