I did text her a happy birthday though late! We were in Saskatoon on Jen's birthday. Cell phone said I'm on roam and it's costing lots so I turned cell phone off until back in the U.S.! dk
Thanks! The weekend was quite fun and was extended. Sunday, Liz brought me ice cream at the shelter for us to indulge. And then Shawn, Heather, Heidi and Liz took me out to eat. After I got off Monday morning Liz and I went out for breakfast. After I went driving around and going for a walk and Liz got some work done, we were off to the laundromat where we played scrabble while waiting for the clothes to get done. Then to Admiral Acres for Boondock's pizza and spend time seeing all of the new babies that have been born on the farm.
Tuesday, I went to Superior and suprised Dan and Liz with a visit. Found out that Dan had a spot on his lung removed in January. Because of his health issues, that he has had ever since returning home from Vietnam his recovery has been pretty slow, but is on the mend. Scarey to think how close they were to losing him! Always fun to see them, laugh with them, and drinking coffee over learning new crafting projects! Liz gave me directions to the store so I could visit with Leona as well. I am determined to swing in to Superior, on the Mondays I work at the shelter, on my way home.
That was my weekend! Heather, Heidi, Liz and I are planning on doing a 5k to raise awareness on Lyme Disease. The event is on May 22nd in Forest Lake. Anyone else interested?
