Wedding weekend

Rehearsal went well. Surprise that Liz was a reader for the wedding; hadn't heard that before.
Met the groomsman from Detroit. Went to David and Jody's for the grooms dinner which
consisted of a variety of pizzas, salad, pop, coffee and,of course, Diane's cheesecake. Very few
took salad but am glad Mitchell did. Ivan and Missi passed out gifts to attendants, parents,
etc.

The day of the wedding was beautiful. Couldn't have asked for anything better. As one of
the ushers ended up in a cast it was a nice touch that Ivan did some ushering. Also missing
was one of the bridesmaids as she had to go to an uncle's funeral that day. Wedding was
very nice; I guess I was too nervous to cry! The flower girls had looked at wedding videos
taken by their parents so they'd know how flower girls should act. They did a good job as
did the ring bearer but he was younger so laid down once in awhile.

Was nice to see a few at least from our side of the family at the wedding and reception.
Delicious food. Chicken was raved about by people who generally don't eat chicken.

Went to Missi's parents for gift opening Sunday morning. They certainly got a nice variety
of gifts. Then to Randall's for the father of the groom's 70th birthday. That was fun. Will
anxiously wait to see the video of the skit. dk

It sounds like the wedding weekend was enjoyable for both the wedding couple and the parents. Frans and his wife Jennifer and their girls also had a good time at said wedding.
Frans will ask the videographer when the video of the skit will be completed! Many thanks to the sister and brother-in-law of the groom for hosting the birthday party for the father of the groom!
Frans is not making fun of the mother of the groom for talking in third person:)

The wedding was very enjoyable and the birthday party was great as well. I'd also like to extend my thanks to Becky, Wayne, and family for hosting the birthday party.
I am going to get to posting pictures on here, but can't seem to do so at my computer and that is where the pictures are.

The wedding was beautiful and the birthday party for Isa was wonderful. Yes thanks Becky, Wayne and family for putting so much work in to the planning and all else who helped. The food, skit, slide show and company was great!
I needed Monday to rest up from all of the weekend events.
Just a note: Frans is missing his suede-leather jacket. I have emailed Missi and have aksed her to check with her Mom in case it got left behind at the church but if anyone comes across the missing jacket please let me know and I will stop looking.
Thanks to all for making it a very memorable weekend!

Right now I don't know if I'm 1st,
2nd, or 3rd person. How did I manage the 3 week plus 1 day of tenting in all kinds of weather and
not get sick? Except for being very cold walking from the reception to our car, the weekend
was beautiful. Now I don't feel all that well. How did those flower girls survive the Minn.
temps, running around Friday without jackets on most of the time? I had on a jacket. Hey,
Farmington Jo, nice to see you on
here. And yes, thank you Becky
and family for hosting the birthday
party. The father of the groom is
writing out thank yous! dk

Sorry that you're not feeling well, Mom. I agree that the weekend was a great one. The wedding of the 9th Kuoppala child was very nice indeed. The children of the 6th ABC child did a marvelous job of "flower girling". Echoes of thanks from this 1st daughter to the 2nd daughter for opening her home for the party to celebrate the 70th birthday of the father of all the ABCers.
This 1st daughter/child could be the reason that you aren't feeling so well, Mom. A miserable cold hopped along in the baggage of said child as she boarded her flight from the warm and sunny southwest to the chilly north (tho' the day of the wedding was beautimous!). She wasn't the only one carrying "cold" baggage .. she hates to tattle, but there was one other person who wasn't feeling so well either. Hoping it doesn't last very long.
Vitamin C and ecchinacea ... sleep, water, orange juice ... good book .. couch .. relaxing .. more sleep. Be well!

I am feeling better now anita...finally!! It was not fun being sick on vacation, but what do ya do? I laid on the couch pretty much all morning today, and I have been drinking lots of water and orange juice, and I feel good now! Hopefully no one else up there catches what we had! Alanys had it here while we were gone.

You guys are nuts! Said daughter in law and friend of 7th abc-er, who is also mother of 27th grandchild of said grandparents in previous posts. She was hysterically laughing outloud at work, hence getting her ALMOST fired! only kidding. hmmmm....who am I?

Eldest daughter of the father of the groom and father-in-law of the bride is really enjoying this banter. Said daughter is a little tired this morning and must get off this computer and get busy. Eldest sister of the groom has an Open House today for which she must clean. She hopes that it will be a successful day so that she can join the brother-in-law of the entire clan up north sometime soon. :)

New husband of the daughter-in-law of the father and mother of the groom is going to find a lawyer or linguist to make sense of all of the preceding. While he is waiting for the appointment he wishes to say thank you to all of the relatives of the father/mother of the father of the groom for all the help received in pulling off the festivities the previous week. The whole weekend went swimmingly, the groom and bride did what grooms and brides do, the anniversary was fab, the weather was cooperative, and good times were had by all at said occasions. Now the 9th child of said father/mother of the groom is confusing himself so he's going to try and make sense of what he just typed. Thanks again,
#9, groom, son of father/mother of groom, son of father/mother-in-law of the bride, and thoroughly confused.

What a riot :) This second daughter of the father of the groom and mother of the groom has revelled in this banter which followed the weekend. It was truly a pleasure to be a part of the wedding festivities of afore mentioned groom and daughter-in-law of the father of the groom and to be able to host a party for the father of the groom.

The celebrations themselves were reason for celebration. The continue banter is added reason for celebration!
